FAQ

Heat Pump & Air Conditioning – Common Questions

Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often from Auckland customers.

Not sure what size or type of system you need? That’s normal. A short chat and a look at the space is usually enough for us to recommend a few solid options and price ranges.

We’re happy to work with your preferences on brand or features, or suggest what we’d choose in your position based on reliability and value.

Which brands do you install? +
We regularly install Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Haier, Gree, Toshiba, Panasonic and Carrier systems. We’ll recommend a brand and model that matches your budget, room size and how you plan to use the system.
How do I know what size heat pump I need? +
Sizing depends on room area, ceiling height, insulation, window size and how warm or cool you want things to be. We calculate an approximate heating and cooling load, then select models that will comfortably meet it.
Do you service heat pumps you didn’t install? +
Yes. We can service and fault-find many existing systems, even if we weren’t the original installer, and advise whether a repair or replacement makes more sense.
Can you install Wi-Fi or smart control? +
Many modern units support Wi-Fi adapters or come with built-in app control. Where your chosen model allows it, we can install and help set up smartphone control for remote on/off and temperature adjustments.
