FAQ

Residential Electrical – Common Questions

If you’re not sure whether something is a “small job” or a bigger project, we’re happy to talk it through.

Electrical safety isn’t something to guess at. If a breaker keeps tripping, you’ve found old or DIY wiring, or you’re planning changes to your home, it’s worth getting a qualified electrician to take a look.

We can often give rough pricing ranges from photos, then confirm once we’ve inspected your switchboard and wiring on site.

Can you help with small jobs like a single light or outlet? +
Yes. We’re happy to help with smaller jobs such as adding a power point, replacing a light fitting or sorting out a tripping breaker – not every visit has to be a big project.
Do you provide certificates for your work? +
Where required, we provide the appropriate electrical certification for work carried out, so you have a record for insurance, future buyers or your own peace of mind.
Can you fix unsafe or DIY wiring? +
Yes. We regularly tidy up or replace DIY or outdated wiring. We’ll show you what we find, explain the risks and agree a plan before making changes.
How do you charge for residential work? +
Many jobs are quoted at a fixed price. For fault finding or open-ended work we’ll explain our hourly rates and likely range before starting, then keep you updated if anything unexpected appears.
